I Ask Toby

Post by poet-e » Thu Feb 06, 2020 1:18 pm

What kind of dog has so many allergies?
“What kind of human has so many allergies, including dirt?”
2/6/20
Do you like the music I turn on for you when I leave the house?
“Do I have a choice?”
2/6/20
 Are you an animal?
“Are you?”
12/20/19
How did we get such a good/smart boy like you?
“You lucked out.”
12/22/19

I don't get the dates?
But appreciate the poem, the humour and the truth :)

Yes, heartwarming dialog.  I like it.

I too am not sure about the dates.  Shouldn't they be chronological?

Nice writing.

As I said in response to your other Toby poem I enjoy this. I think you could make a whole collection of Toby poems.

Interesting take on how we view animals as separate from us "non-animals" It takes us by surprise when they contract some illness or in other ways behave in ways that remind us that there isn't that much separation after all.

I recently thought about yawning and acting bored is a symptom of stress noticed by animal behaviorists such as Jane Goodall observing in the wild. I was watching the US senate
