I followed the YouTube link to "Aimé Duclos - The Kitchen Table Series". But definitely a male voice there.  Some interesting stuff though.  Will go back and listen to a few more later.

Gyppo -- you know AJDuclos is a male, right? Another Frenchman -- Marcel's brother. Songster, lyricist. Bob Dylan once described himself a just a song 'n dance man, a set of knee-symbols away from being a one-man band. I don't know what Aimé's position on this may be.
But I know his history is music rather than the written or spoken word..  

Such a fun thread... another Frenchman, mais oui !!!!!  I'm a lyricist wannabe first, musician a distant second and a singer from way out in left field.  Some prose writing, delivered some toasts and roasts and eulogies... mostly I write and play and sing for me... not really a performer.  Recording at the kitchen table with a microphone and my laptop affords me a outlet of sorts.
So, for the moment, this Frenchman bids you Adieu !!!

Well this is still going strongly - Gyppo love Session Man, Adjuclos your Darling was very moving, Colm, your last one very intense, Tom a Wonderful Poem 12 and Indar you never write a wrong line. Vaughn 12 was tremendous, I could really relate to it.

I have to be good, or brilliant, better

than you; than millions of Chinese

whose burgeoning intellect threatens

to flood the world. I am mediocre.

No matter how hard I try, how many

books I read or teachers I ask

great inventions, the wonder drug,

a pirouette or triple flip or even

just getting to work before dawn

evade me. This world accelerates

as I slow down, refine my denials

until I swallow myself with a soft

 

plop!
