Greetings and felicitations.

My name is April. I have written poetry for umpteen tens of years. I quit listening to the people who live in my head from my past who told me as a kid that people like me don't write, if they write they don't publish and if they do publish they never ever get paid. I quit listening when I got my first geek book published. I quit hiding my poetry several years later. Now, I write. I write for me. I write because the words in my brain will not be silenced unless I do.

We are pleased to have you here. Congratulations on being published. Do you have a link to your book(s)?

I look forward to seeing the poems you choose to post, and getting your view on poetry. As you probably know, we are a small site, but have some good writers. We try to exchange honest views of the poems posted while maintaining some collegiality.

I hope you like here and speak up if there is anything to help you settle in.
