Letters
I trace my name
On a frosted window
And watch the letters
Fade into tiny drops
That dribble together
And run down the glass
Drawing lines
That look like sadness.

30 ways to die.
#9
Some regrets linger
only slightly uncomfortable,
a dull back pain, from
too much time on a sofa, or
having that extra drink
when you knew better,
and it's in the bible anyway
sloth and gluttony,
and the other five,
so many sins to enjoy...and so little time.
But some regrets ride jack hammers
without an off switch,
two teams work in tandem
one inside your skull, trying to get out.
Outside, just as enthusiastic
their combined efforts
vise a prison without parole.
A farm, a toddler, a reversing 4x4
driven by her father
one moment, one death
Some regrets venom, immobilise.
Jigsaw pieces liquefied,
try as you may
you'll never got them back together again.

Tracy,
The title is pregnant with associations. The last two lines reveal twists the reader's mind into wakefulness. Marcel
