Archibald MacLeish wrote a whole bunch of poems---I learned to love poetry because of a book of his collected poems that came into my possession. It makes me crazy that Ars Poetica is the poem that always gets included in the anthology---the poem that always gets mentioned when his name comes up. MacLeish disliked that poem--renounced the sentiments he expressed in it. Just had to say it. Otherwise interesting article.
