Vote Now for Poet Laureate of MSPF

Post by Tom » Mon Aug 05, 2019 6:03 pm

The time has come for participants to select the Poet Laureate of The Tangled Branch's Mid-Summer Poetry Fest.  This is an incredibly weighty honor, a super resume-builder, and a certain ticket to any MFA program in the English-speaking world worthy of its own self-regard.

Chances are fair that Indar, the currently reigning Poet Laureate, will MC the inauguration banquet.

And so, Poetry lovers, read and consider the wonderful submissions to this contest, found at Poet Laureate Contest Poems and cast your vote as your heart speaks.

Voting is closed, time has expired, Vonna, Elyse, and Xavier the poll workers have closed shop and gone home. Thanks to all who voted.  The entries were really special.  That said, a very warm congratulations to our newest

Poet Laureate of Mid-Summer Poetry Fest --

Deb!!!!!!!

Congrats Deb, everyone loves your poem entitled TIDES -- a truly wonderful poem.  :) :)

You can check with the out-going Poet Laureate, Indar, to arrange delivery of the tiara. :D

You have also won a home version of The Tangled Branch, which can be picked up from CorneliusPoe at your convenience.

Again, a thousand congratulations, and thank you for being a part this thing [whatever it is].

Your enthusiasm is so highly contagious you should be hanging out at an airport or something.

Cheers.
