Pookie, Our Black Cat Wannabe

Pookie stretches,
rolls over in the sunlight.
Her dark gray undercoat
emerges in thick clumps.
From her sides
reddish-brown hair
rises and falls
imperceptibly.
Silver tips glisten.
In the shadows of her jaws
lurk shades of bluish-charcoal.
Frosted winter grasses spring
from her chest and belly.

Tree bark, rock striations, beach sand---most people say brown, gray, tan but closer observation reveals a spectrum of color. Your poem/cat fur addresses the need to look closer. So what do most folks call Pookie--gray tabby perhaps? Thanks for the nice color tutorial.
