Ah, the gull
floating on waves of air,
much maligned scavenger
dismissed, reviled, disdained.
Yet he escapes
gravity's constraints
while I,
smugly superior,
remain strapped
hopelessly surface bound.

I enjoyed this aj.
But I suppose if we could fly we'd take it for granted.
And I've often thought about certain maligned creatures like seagulls, and see them for the survivors they are. Just doing what we do...as little as possible to make as much as possible!
