You Will Remember Me.

Yes, I was the big brown box
on wheels,
the one you had so taken for granted,
you and your red, white, and blue horizons,
till I rolled under the arch and
into the vast dormancy
that was the Plaza Mayor
in the quiet early morning,
your first morning,
in Madrid,
and I comforted you
in your unease of whereabouts
and made you smile
with my golden U-P-S-ivity.
