It's there

The mysteries at work under my one-finger taps as I type this
suggest something the religions I've explored 
have failed to convince,
and strangely, death, as a reason to believe 
in the after, moots more
the more I think about it,
it's just a cling, ego,
an emotion.

Anything can birth, and
parents aren't always required.
It's disguised in the open,
coded in complex simplicities, 
all this from nothing
and nothing after?

Infinities should sooth instead of bruise,
questions are just diamonds 
we've yet to value.
The internet tells me what I want to hear,
a priest married to a physicist
would be better.

Better still a quiet listen
to what I think I always knew

before life got busy.

There's a lot of thinking in this Colm. Eloquently encased. Nice use of cling, and death/ego as manufacturers of belief. The nothing from nothing to nothing another belief question...like the use of diamonds in that context. The priest/physicist equation...a marriage formula indeed You may be busy, but you have certainly thought about stuff!

Not a death poem, but perhaps a prequel  to the series.  Aye - what we have lost-- what we have surrendered without a fight. 
Yes, we are better for the finding of wisdom in ". . . a quiet listen / to what I think I always knew . . . " than the self-reinforcing but ultimately flagellating internet algorithms. 

Four other thoughts:

S.1 L.1 - delete "as I type this"
S.1 L.2 - delete "I've explored"

S.2 L.2 - delete "required"

S.3 L.2 -- diamonds >> gems?
