A very vivid poem but also filled with metaphors, which I personally love. The mystical feel of being near a stormy and cold ocean is really felt. There's great juxtaposition of all of nature's traits that are familiar alongside "Wednesday" i.e. an ordinary day, against the regal presence of Neptune, a mythical creation.

Imaginatively written I thought, and the title opens the poem up, makes us wonder if this man is imaginary or real. I would cut that last line and end at ''storms pile at his fair isle shoulder.''
