Gyppo here from MWC and the Best Writing Forum. I shall probably be taking part in the National Poetry Month at least, and look forward to meeting some old friends and perhaps making a few new ones as well.
That's it for now, I'm a bit tired just lately, having recently had a op to remove a cancerous prostate. It was a slow growing problem of several years standing which suddenly changed to a more aggressive form and had to be dealt with. pretty damned pronto. I was offered a quick appointment because someone else cancelled and snatched it with both hands. Early indications are that they got it all, but there will be tests to confirm this.
The op was carried out robotically, which is a bizarre thought to get one's head around.
I'm still a bit light-headed at the realisation the evil thing i have lived with for several years is no longer in my body. Don't be surprised if it features in a few poems, although I'll try it to over-work it.
