Name is Ike. Don't know poetry and it's not offered at my college, haven't found any useful online resources, so I'm here. I'm hoping to learn from you guys, although I don't have much to give. I will try my best though to contribute to the community.

Should we call you Mega? I see you've made yourself at home already. All colleges should offer poetry. You will learn a lot from the generous writers on this site. Good for you taking the initiative to find your own way to learn the craft.

Welcome to TTB.  Have you read much poetry?  That's always a wonderful entry into writing.  

Ted Kooser has some interesting books which can be helpful to writers of all levels.

Before long we will be expanding the writing resources info available on the site.
