Greetings to all! I look forward to participating both in discussing and writing poems for this board. I live on two continents and teach English to speakers of other languages; you may sense that in my posts.

Greetings,

Welcome to TTB. So glad you found your way here. I hope the site meets your expectations.
ESL teacher -- very impressive. What are our other languages?
I expect you've developed some unique linguistic insights from your experiences.

As you familiarize yourself with the place, do hesitate to ask questions.

Thanks, Tracy and Phil, for your greetings!

As poets we all work with language as much as any ESL teacher—today I learned cairn and tarn and sheiling from Phil.  :)

Happy to be here,
Jackie

Welcome Jackie,
I am happy you're here as well. This is a fine group of writers, generous and good humored but currently lacking an adequate amount of female perspective. I look forward to your participation, I'm certain you'll enjoy the company here.

Where I live, in my world, cairn and tarn do NOT rhyme, but who knows with Phil's dialect, and penchant for internal, slant, and near rhyme.

Thanks, T, and Linda, I'll bring along all the female perspective I can muster.

As another ESL teacher living abroad I would like to extend my warm welcome to the site and its poems, critiques, frictions and hearty reparttee and lasting friendships.
