I LIVE on the edge
why are there so many
footprints?

Because of the urge to look into the abyss?  Very few jump, but the view is always interesting.

Re: Beer Tent -- chat, Banter, Trash Talk

It did seem to pass rather quickly.  Which is odd because the atmosphere was much more relaxed than the much longer NAPO.

Time flies when you're having fun.

That's a bauro yog, (good fire), you have burning there, Tom.

Re: Main Gate and Information Booth

Not so active this time around - the heat really does slow down my brain - but I've enjoyed it nonetheless.  So-called 'Real Life' does sometimes get in the way as well. But it encouraged me to to finally buy a new microphone and look into the choices of recording software again.  (I'll have a bit m...

Deb,

Enjoy your road trip.  By the time you get back I may have learned enough about microphones and recording software to offer some useful advice.

Or totally bamboozled myself ;-)

Re: Let It Be Spoken

Nice one, AJ.  We do indeed build towers of dreams.  Sometimes they last and sometimes they collapse in a slithering slide.  If we are resolute or driven enough we follow Rudyard Kipling's guidelines in his poem If,    and we 'stoop to build it up with broken tools'. I'm not really comfortable yet w...

Indar, by its nature it could fit either.

Re: Beer Tent -- chat, Banter, Trash Talk

Deb.  Could it be you are using the wrong tool?  The way I understand it 'speech to text' is voice recognition software, which turns your spoken words into text.  It doesn't record sound the way a tape recorder does. I've been fiddling around with a bit of free software called Audacity, which, once ...

Re: Beer Tent -- chat, Banter, Trash Talk

I think I'm allergic to microphones ;-)  As soon as I plugged the thing in to make some voice recordings my nose started to run like a tap.  I've been lucky with the hay fever this year, until yesterday, which was a heller.  But it rained overnight so the first serious lungful this morning didn't fe...

My garden is a tropical jungle.
a poster child for global warming.
I work sporadically,
in the slightly cooler evening.

I wear shorts recently,
cut off old Cammo trousers.
Cooler, but un-hemmed and fraying
because my sewing machine has died.
