Just For Looking At

A black powder 1868 colt revolver. Dad's rusty Buck knife. A few old Zippo lighters. Ivory figurines haggled over with an illicit trader in Shanghai, same for a two hundred year old silk rug never trod upon. A tin box with a broken clasp containing things I cannot now speak of. Other keepsakes that...

Re: black and white

Not too fond of that fancy-pants 'pellucid Dave.

"Their branches
brittle against a canvas

that soften and deepen, "

Reads a bit clumsy to me, it needs to be more clear to

I am a fighter by nture, but I think I will just sit any current or future wars out.
Thanks for the read and thoughts.

Unrestrained

We have let the animals out; moonlight flees from the tousled bed. Passions speak loud yet wordless. Impulses drive deep into that frenzy poets call ardor. A macabre shadow dance. paints the walls with a leaking erotica. There are instinctual movements, creatural sounds - the cry of storm gulls, an...

Re: Non-verbal

Enjoyed this Indar.
The raised eyebrow and haughty stare can be devastating to ranting politicians, socialist cultural engineers and all those we should not waste words upon.

Re: Memorial Days

Hi Indar glad this worked for you. Yes, the war references do seem to be past wars mainly. Once I had established that Far East flavor. I kind of got stuck in the latter conflicts though I hope it reflects wars in general. You are quite right of course, modern warfare is a different kind of barbarit...

Re: Silverback

It took me awhile to come to grips with this one, but it was worth a few reads.
The silverback image holds well for the trevails of aging
and the scars of life.
An original look at this legendary exitance of ours.
